info:
Hi My name is Khaled, I started flying paragliders in 2008 and have checked the weather everyday since. I fly mostly in Scotland where we have a great variety of coastal, hill and mountain terrain to play in. There's definitely something extra special about going to the clouds and going XC, but when thats not possible I keep busy soaring local sites and staying in practice. I like a glider with a good balance, precise handling and performance. Wish you all magic flights 🙂

My name is Nige Lane and I’ve been Paragliding since 2003. I do most of my flying in Devon, which affords both inland and coastal flying – the inland sites on Dartmoor being my favourite. The SW isn’t renowned for long XC flights due to ‘hitting’ the coast; however the scenery is outstanding and it’s only a stone’s throw from S Wales. I’ve done plenty of flying in the Alp’s and Spain; and had a fantastic trip to Bir in India where I had my longest flight. Like many of us I need to balance flying with work and family commitments which involves looking after a fantastic/hyper/monstrous/brilliant young daughter; that said I do have a ‘bag’ of excuses I can use to get out on the hill if it’s looking epic .

Started my flying way back in 1993 though it was a brief affair as life got in the way and it was put aside for a while. Got right back into it in 2006 and since then have put up over 1000 hours, mostly flying near my home on the North East Coast (and Hills) Of Scotland. Usually manage to get a trip to Annecy and/or Dolomites in and more recently to Mexico "The Valle" which is an excellent spring preparation for UK flying. Looking forward to spreading my proverbial wings (sorry for the pun) this year and getting in some decent XC flying.

I am BHPA Pilot rated / SIV course, with approximately 100 hrs experience almost all of which has been abroad, allowing me to experience a wide diversity of flying environments. Favourite locations being Pokhara, Nepal and the French Alps. I am starting to fly XC in the UK and in the Alps to build my experience in both flat lands and mountains, however this is challenged by a new found love for mini-wings and speed-riding. With the local flying site litteraly on my doorstep there’s never a reason not to go flying.
